Shillabeer was born in 1946 in Binghamton, NY. He received his early art training in Chicago, and during the late 1950's in Los Angeles. He graduated from the Instituto Allende, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, with a Master's of Fine Arts in sculpture and painting. Shillabeer's paintings and sculpture have been exhibited in the Netherlands, Mexico, and Japan. His exhibitions in the United States have been primarily on the east coast. He has exhibited in conjunction with the United Nations and was exhibited solo at the National Academy of Arts and Sciences. Shillabeer's recent work:
